Wordpress.com is a commercial website created by Automattic. It was launched in November 2006. It is a blog hosting website. Registration is not necessary to comment or read the webblogs on the site. The basic features on the site are free to use
Advertisements can also be seen on wordpress.com pages. Currently in 2011 the site has twenty four million individual blogs.  The site has an easy to use and friendly interface. There is a Freshly Pressed named box on the top left which shows the number of best bloggers, new posts, comments and words posted everyday on the website. The layout is very simple and the user can easily sign in or sign up if new to the site. Similarly it is easy to change the language if needed.
