The general or word-wise meaning of statistics is ‘collection of data in form of numbers’. Another meaning of the word statistic is the quantity of something. In our daily life we use the word statistics for the collection of data. These are the statistical results or statistics themselves that are necessary for stating anything about the economy or any other sector of the market etc. GDP, literacy rate, mortality rate and many other conclusions are done on the bases of statistics. Weel1 these are the serious statistics. There are sometime some funny statistics also. These are the calculations that sometime provide really funny results. Another description of funny statistics could be that the data collected for something really very funny.
